Since 𝗙.𝗢.𝗖.𝗨.𝗦. 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 arrived at 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆, there is a very positive Environment Every day, our trained and dedicated volunteers are present on campus, working proactively to prevent conflicts, stop fights, and address issues before they escalate.
We thank the 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 for trusting and supporting the mission of F.O.C.U.S. Safe Passage.

The F.O.C.U.S. Safe Passage Program promotes physical, emotional, and psychological safety for students traveling to and from school. The program relies on trained volunteers who provide calm, consistent, trauma-informed presence. Safe Passage is preventive, not disciplinary.

F.O.C.U.S. Safe Passage is regarded as an essential measure of violence prevention, which has far-reaching benefits spanning the entire community, including students, schools, parks, parents, and business owners.
Gun incidents, hate crimes, intimidations/threats and various concerns have increased in LB. Unfortunately, safety concerns go unanswered despite the community voicing
Concerns Include, But Are Not Limited To:

> Rising rates of gun violence and increased homicide rates.
> Reports of poor racial relations.
> Harassment of youth with special needs.
> Increased gang activity and hate crimes.
> Poor police and community relationships.
> Increased traffic fatalities.
> Pedestrian safety is an area of concern, i.e. Reckless driving.
History Of Safe Passage
Rising rates of gun violence and increased homicide rates throughout the city.
Here is the History:
Franklin Middle School experienced:
> Students were assaulted as they came to and from school. > FMS was considered an urban terrorist zone.
> F.O.C.U.S. Safe Passage safety for the students.
> No more Assaults, Bullying, suspension, or arrest.
Goal’s
Increase the number of students walking to and from school safely and reduce incidents of violence or injury for students in Long Beach.
By conducting safety workshops through the implementation of the “F.O.C.U.S.” Safe Passage Program model”
> Increase social connections in communities
> Increase the perception of safety in the community.
